NAOMIE AND THE MOMENTS

Naomie April and the Moments is a meeting of minds, and with every song made, a world is built. The band was named after the idea of being fully in the present, as their music has a way of pulling you deeper into the moment with every note. Founder and lead vocalist Naomie April has been writing songs for as long as she could speak. Having been in and out of studios nearly that entire time, this band is the focused culmination of years of experience, planning, and visionary fruition. Soaring operatic pop rock, rooted in the blues — their music is raw, highly vulnerable, and real down to the core — translating their lived experiences into a message that is relatable to every human heart.

The core members include Micah Thomas (Drums), Alex Taub (piano), Brennan Dugan (Bass), Alex Travers (Violin) and Naomie April (Vocals/Piano). Each band member and feature artists brings a different influence/ background of genres to pull from, i.e. jazz, blues, pop, rock, country, blue grass, funk, ska, and classical. Some describe their music as “Jazzalachian”- A mix of jazz, indie, Appalachian and pop!

At their shows you may find yourself dancing, crying, laughing, and hanging on to every word as each song tells a different story. They have mastered the craft of speaking a language through their music.
